BLC Winter edition...the good the bad and the ugly

This was not a good time in my weight loss journey I started the challenge at my lowest weight in a couple of years and started well, Then Christmas happened and although I had a quiet low key Christmas I got into a sugar crash binge cycle that had me 7 pounds above my challenge start weight before I managed to give myself a sugar detox and break free from that cycle and in the last couple of weeks I have lost 5 of those seven pounds,
On the exercise front I've always got a ton of cardio in by walking my dogs 2-3 hours a day, but was unable to get a good strength training program going, At he end of January I decided to hire a personal trainer, My initial fitness assessment results were MUCH better then I thought (all results are my age category) Although my weight classified me as obese my skin fold measurements fell into the good range. My aerobic fitness fell into the very good range and my musculoskeletal (strength) fell in the good range. If you had asked me ahead of time I would have said I would be in the fair to need improvement category in everything. A personal trainer is money well spent.
My new exercise routine is:
1 hour dog walk daily (minimum)
20 minute stretch yoga daily
15 minute core routine 5X week
1 hour strength training with trainer 2x per week on my own 1 per week
30 minute couch to 5K 4 X per week
30 day shred with Jillian
It looks like a lot but I'm not spending any more time exercising just doing more than miles and miles of walking
Bring on Spring!!
