Forgot what 2 years olds are like......
Sunday, March 16, 2014
I spent a healthy dose of family time with my brothers family today....he has a nearly 2 year old little boy and a nearly 2 month old baby girl. I had to stop over to deliver a pink tutu (you know, with 3 big boys I get all misty eyed over a little baby girl that I never had!).
I'm so lucky my nephew adores me, but it could be because I chase him, toss him, bounce him and play with him endlessly while I'm there. My brother just shakes his head at me....but that's the type of mom I always was with my little ones....and maybe why they always slept so well! Today we danced, a lot. Which means, I sit and bounce him knee to knee....toss up a few times, shake around, then repeat. I seriously could not move my legs after an hour of this. I actually worked up a full sweat. I can't imagine how I could have done this without the current weight loss and exercise regime, I mean, I felt the soreness in my legs building up with every bounce of my sweet and silly nephew.
But, of course, he wasn't done with me....then we had to play "zombies" and he was the zombie I had to run away from (on my knees).
Finally, I remembered I brought my boys there.... Two 14 year old boys should have infinitely more energy than me! Ha! The little one winded them in about a half hour!
I swear, I don't know how I did it with 3 under 3 years ago, but it did make me smile to be reminded how much fun a little one is. My sister-in-law called to thank me for the 3 hour nap after we left!
Too bad I didn't open and wear my new spark tracker....but I still got in my double workout today on the treadmill. Considering the soreness in my legs, I should have tracked little man and gained those points too!
What a great Sunday, hoping the scale is good to me tomorrow too.
Have a great evening and thanks for listening!
