The First Month

First, I want to say a huge "Thank you!" to all the people who commented on my post "35 lbs" and left the most amazing and encouraging comments. I love Spark, but this really proved to me why I log on every day...this is such a fantastic community!

I also want to thank my spark friends who have been with me from the beginning providing their support and encouragement. You have held me accountable to my goals and lifted me up when my spirits are down. For this, I thank you.... you know who you are!

So, today I am reporting on the first month of Isagenix.

Overall, I am very, very happy I made the decision to join my cousins journey into better eating habits.

Here is my report on the good, bad, and ugly. (oh, there's even a little pretty at the end!)

The Good:
Easy, 2 shakes a day and one meal takes all thought out of pre-planning.
The shakes are super tasty.
The shakes WORK - there is no hunger after a shake.
The program works, everything is designed to remove cravings and take away hunger.
The IsaDelight chocolates are my favorite thing.
I am much more aware of eating properly and eating when I am hungry.
I drink more water.
I make better food choices.
I feel good during and after a fast, and I now look forward to a fast each week. It's like a mental break for your body.
The cost motivates me to follow the right diet, I don't want to waste my money.

The Bad:
It's expensive. No matter how you slice it, it's expensive.
The snacks on fast days (I call them scooby snacks) are gross, but they work.
I lose more energy than I would like on a fast day, as well as the next day. Not so much brain energy but body energy. I am learning how to manage this as I go. I see some improvement.
There are big scale swings on the fast days - it's such a tease!
Is it worth the money to lose 2-3 lbs a week on avaerage....? Jury is out, many people on Spark are losing that on their own.

The Ugly:
5-7 pm on a fast day I become a monster of starvation. It's HARD to work through those 2 nights.
The initial fasts were HARD and miserable, but now, 4 fasts down I like it.

The Pretty (or the reward):
I have lost a total of about 10lbs (tomorrow will tell) and almost 20 inches.
I have a very structured day/diet which works for me.
My kids are gaining interest in what I am doing, as well as what I am eating.

I already bought the next month so I do plan to continue....just haven't figured out if I will take a break this week or not.

I desperately wanted to get into one-der-land at the end of my month, but I did not meet that goal. I know I will get to it next month, but still, you know....it's like teasing a child with candy seeing the other side of that 200 on the scale..... I am so close!!

Tomorrow I will post final weight loss and inches lost. No matter what it is, the bottom line is they are gone, forever!

And, truly, the best feeling is knowing I am not done....I will still grow smaller and stronger with each day I remain committed. And no one is complaining of the many compliments I am starting to get as my weight loss becomes more and more obvious.

    emoticon You do have to find what works for you. I am happy for you that it is working for you. If I only had me to feed I would love to see how a system like that would work for me! LOLOLO I swear if I didn't feed 10- 12 others four times a day I would be my goal weight.

    YEAH for you!!!! Tomorrow is day 60 for me. It is hard to believe 2 months have flown by. You have done well.

    I know a lot of people will say that you could have the same results eating "real" food - to them I say it is a choice. I like taking the stress out of worrying about what I am going to eat for breakfast and lunch. It keeps me sane.
