Day 353-354 on the Journey!!

Thursday, June 26, 2014

Hey Sparkies,

Sorry that I didn't blog yesterday but I truly was feeling down in the dumps and couldn't face you all. I've been struggling with staying within my calorie range for about six days now and especially yesterday and the day before had some full on binges. Not only that but I haven't been getting up with my alarm to do my workouts. I actually missed yesterday all together because I didn't even do it when I got home. Guess what though

I REFUSE to be beaten by these bad days. I refuse to let them become a bad 2 weeks or a bad anything else. I am getting back on TRACK TODAY!!! I am getting my eating UNDER CONTROL TODAY!!

I will NOT be deterred from reaching my goals. I am putting these slip-ups BEHIND me and MOVING FORWARD TRIUMPHANTLY!! Especially with you all by my side!! Quitting or feeling sorry for myself and letting this regression continue is NOT AN OPTION!!

Thank you for your time and support. emoticon emoticon

This is a great blog! I am so proud of you for never giving up. Yes, we have bad days, but we dust ourselves off, pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and get on with it. Everyday is a new day. I love the opportunity of each new day, especially Calories Reset Zero!

I am a binge eater, too. Oh, I love the healthy foods, but I love the junk just as much, if not more. I can polish off a whole container of ice cream over 2 nights. I am powerless once I start eating a large bag of M&Ms.

It can be so frustrating to be super diligent with my exercise, but not have my eating under wraps. I think Kaliswalker wrote something about it not being possible to exercise away overeating. It is true....it's like trying to bail out a boat with the hole in the bottom of it.

The week before the challenge started, I went into training to get my eating under some kind of control. It was a rough week. And, usually that is what it takes for me. If I stop and go, alternating good solid food with junk, it is a huge battle for me, and one I usually lose....I get worn down and I just give in and eat. This week into the challenge, I am making lots of fresh salads and trying to put things in that burst with flavor: gorgonzola, hot pepper slices, grilled meat, and a good dressing (love Trader Joe's Cranberry Gorgonzola dressing). If I plan out my meals ahead of time, it is my road map to the day's success.

I hope sharing some of this helps in some small way. You are strong....goodness, any body who can do so many pushups has physical strength and mental! And, you are so worth taking good care of you. YOU deserve this. CLAIM IT, SUCCESS IS RIGHTFULLY YOURS! You are CHAL, and YOU ARE MIGHTY! emoticon

Amen! The heart of a champion is to get back up and start over again. David put five smooth stones in his slingshot when he went out to fight Goliath. He was prepared to win even if it took repeating the first shot! Don't give up; you'll make it!
