New Relevations

Its been such a long time since I posted last. I just noticed that the last post was April 15th, of 2013!!! WOW!

I have been listening to my body recently... trying to figure out what is going on, or how I can be successful. Last month, DH and I decided to join Lifetime fitness. He was all for jumping all the way in, feet first. Bless him! He has not complained about the money or going, or anything really. We have both done the metabolic testing, and then we joined fitness classes. Mine is Team Weight loss, and DH is going to Team Fitness. Both are at the same time, and its been a good motivator.

My Team Weight loss instructor is wonderful. Inspirational, able to push, but compassionately! I have worked harder than I ever have... running up to 3 minutes, and working at at Incline Level 15 on the treadmill. Sometimes I burn between 750 and 825 calories in a session. But, no weight loss yet. I know that repairing muscles hold on to water and that muscle weighs more than fat, but at the same time, I have not yet felt my clothes fit better either.

I have been battling my plantar's fascitis... Heaven knows, these poor feet don't want to work that hard. But, I have been working at stretching and trying to cause some healing naturally. But, today, I was really thinking about it, and what I am feeling is inflammation... every where! My hands, my feet, my legs, my knees, my gut (dealing with a bit of IBS lately). I know that being obese is like being in a constant state of inflammation and the hormones and neuro-messengers are not good.

I am preparing to work with a nutritionist (RD) and I think it may even be time to think about food allergies. At the very least, I want to avoid foods that promote inflammation and increase foods that help to inhibit inflammation. At this point, its no longer about losing weight, but actually feeling good!

emoticon Burn those calories gurl!! You've got some great numbers going on; the nutritionist will definitely be a BIG plus, too.

    Keep on blogging emoticon emoticon

Glad you are back!!! Inflammation is also an issue for me so I take some supplements to help. I am also seeing an RD and she has had a lot of good input into my eating habits. I think i also needed to address some of the health issues before I could really focus on the weight loss issues. They seemed to be a big hindrance to me sticking to my exercise plan.
