Day 362 on the Journey!!

Friday, July 04, 2014

Well Sparkies,

Yesterday did not go according to plan at all. I made the EXACT SAME mistake that I made on June 13th 2014. I know the exact date because I blogged about it then as I'm blogging about it now. I (VERY STUPIDLY I might add) decided that I was going to sit on my bed in front of the t.v. (double whammy) and eat a cheese snack before my workout. Well JUST LIKE last time, 1 became 2 which became 3 which became a whopping 3578 calories eaten day with no exercise to boot!! You know what I found amazing though is the fact that I allowed this to happen. On my way home the idea to have that cheese snack came to me and I said "No, remember what happened last time" but then of course me and my smart self rationalized "That's not going to happen THIS time." Well we all know how that turned out. It's not strength when you place yourself in a situation where you know you have a weakness but rather STUPIDITY or more mildly put INSANITY!!

Real STRENGTH is knowing your faults, admitting them and then AVOIDING them which is exactly what I will do from this day forward!! It's behind me and now up to ME to move on!!

On today's page is that missed workout and tracking all that I eat and staying within my calorie range.

We can NEVER give up!! I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!! emoticon emoticon

I have just been having this same internal dialogue with myself. I think, well other people can have x,y,z and maintain their weight. I should be able to, too. The problem - I usually can't have just 1. You are right - it is about recognizing your weaknesses and making conscious choices not to create circumstances where you are apt to "fail". Keep moving forward... emoticon

I've had those kinds of days myself! But today is a new day with a clean slate. Just pick yourself up and start over again!

Good for you on deciding to make healthier choices next time and learning again from this mistake! I know I have to stay away from sweets..I cannot eat them in moderation. When I have tried, it always end up poorly. Spark says, "Everything in moderation There are no off-limit food." Not true for this gal. Took me a lot of trial and error, but I've finally learned from my mistakes. It sounds like you have too!
emoticon on hanging with us for next to a year!

Continued blessing from God as you move forward in this healthy journey! emoticon

"Turn The Page .... " That is one of the best pieces of advice I have read in quite a while.

I, too, have decided that turning the page is an option.... and not shutting the book.

Because, here, we are all Winners!! emoticon

Hey, I messed up, too, today... The important thing is learning from it and getting to the point where we don't do it anymore. but you know this already...
