Consistency Streak

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Since I started my new Consistency Streak on July 14th, to do 10 or more fitness minutes per day as the Spark Guy suggested in the email I received.
I was able to keep it going for 8 days, however, yesterday I broke that promise to do at least 10 minutes and I feel really bad about it, but the truth of the matter is I didn't put any effort to check yesterday to see how many minutes I had dedicated to myself and if I was reaching my goal for the day.
Today is a new day and I'm starting over the streak again. I learn that no matter how busy you are; 10 minutes is not too much to ask to give at least that time to yourself.
So today is day #1

Thank you all for your support.
Kerry is not really that difficult....the way I measure my activity is through the use of my Body Media, which I wear all the time......On my down time I also gave up in this wonderful little gadget. But I'm back using all my tools to help me get back on track.
From the total of 8 days I tracked last week, 4 days went over 38 minutes, the other 4 days ranging from 11 to 23 minutes. See you can do it!
Marilyn, I can see how frustrating it will be to be short by 33 steps and that is what happened to me yesterday....I didn't follow up my progress.
Jarol7, that is another thing I'm working hard to control my calorie intake.
I hope to get the results from making a commitment of being consistent even in small scale I need to get back to my healthy life style that I was getting so many benefits from.

I haven't signed up for the 10 min a day because I know that it is extremely hard to do especially on Sunday. Now if someone in my family would volunteer to walk WITH me it would probably make a huge difference.

Way to go. Exercise is important. But if weight loss is the goal, controlling calories is more important.

Eight days is better than none and as you say, you are starting a new streak and this will be better than the last. YOU CAN DO IT.

Once last year, I was 33 steps from having 10,000 steps for the day and then sat in my chair through midnight without getting those last 33 steps. emoticon emoticon emoticon I remember that all the time now, when I'm even 1000 steps away from 10,000. I put in the extra effort sooner, if possible now. emoticon I try to use it as a learning experience...I was really put out with myself with that goof. emoticon
