National Innergize Day! Who knew?

Tuesday, September 23, 2014

Developed by Michelle Porchia of Inner Dimensions, Innergize Day is celebrated the day after autumn begins because we need to do as the Earth does: experience a time of hibernation to prepare for renewal. It is a forced day of rest, when observers relax, reflect, and rejuvenate. My goal is to get people to start with a day per year, progress to a day per month, then a day per week, and eventually an hour per day. It is a time of "self-celebration," to be incorporated into one's daily lifestyle.

I learned about Innergize day from a spam e mail I received this morning. The advice given in the e mail ; take a minute or two each day to hop up and down ten times. Do this at least three times a day and you will bring a spring back to your step and a smile to your face. Of course, you will feel completely 'innergized' as well.

Lesson to be learned here, Spam can be good once in a while, but not good for you as a steady diet.

I'm not telling you to eat spam, though I do enjoy it every decade or so. I do wish you a day of hopping up and down, or at least, I hope you find something equally as fun to Innergize yourself. emoticon
