Workout - Week 8 - Day 2 - Warrior Home Gym

Did you notice anything different in the title? I had to quit the gym. Family circumstances shifted a little so I had to shift other things in my life to accommodate. No worries. I'm glad that I had taken those two days last week to set up my own workout schedule because now I know that I can do it.

So after taking care of family business this evening, I worked out for 20 minutes on step aerobics and 20 minutes upper body strength.

I'm also still being very careful what I eat. During pivotal changes like this in anyone's life, it's easy to get derailed. Then add emotional and mental stress....well....it's like tar sucking up the dinosaurs. So I'm fighting the tendency to feel sorry for myself.

You bloggers are keeping my nose above water! Keep on blogging.

I'm going to keep this routine going because I know if I don't hold myself accountable to writing my updates, like April with her pic & posts, I will go easy on myself.

    oh no, that's stinks. been there though and i know all to well that you can def still kick butt just as easily at home. you've got the tools so that's great. one thing to always remember...the workouts and eating right help with stress. a better you means so much more for your family than you think...u got this!

    That's great!! Look at you hurdling things trying to get in your way. I bet before you would let those things derail you and that's not even a remote possibility it sounds like right now!!! I'm sorry you had to give up the gym, but I'm glad that you've built your own home gym what's even more important is your actually using it!!!

I am so impressed with you for not skipping a beat and just shifting your workouts to accommodate new circumstances. Love it! I work out at home too.     Good morning, Reggie! WTG for keeping up with your fitness despite the gym! I work out at home, too.

    It's great that you're sticking to good nutrition. Keep at it! Also remember, when life throws you curve balls, it's not uncommon to miss hitting them. Remind yourself of why you wanted to lose weight to begin with and let that keep you from derailing. I made 3 motivational mini posters that I look at and read the words every day. Could you try something like that?
