My birthday trip!! I have questions....

Friday, January 16, 2015

My daughter and dear SIL purchased the trip for me!! Thank you, kids!!!

I'm sure the airplanes don't have paintings on them lol

Looking forward to the view out of the window!

Not sure yet about the luggage, the size, the price if any..

And the biggest thought is the airport itself! Wow it's huge~

Waiting to speak to a representative now. Soon I'll have more information.

No food or drinks allowed unless I purchase it from the airline, can't take the meds on board, (or can I?)

Then reaching the shuttle to get to the hotel will be another event!

lol When I was 40 even 50 and of course much younger this would have looked fun! Now, the size of the airport is a little overwhelming.

Then the next day, I leave for OK!

That part I'm familiar with.

Good times are sometimes an adventure and this will be an adventure!!

Appreciate prayer!!

I have never flown before. I have heard of how huge some of the airports can be. I will say a prayer for you. I am so happy for this opportunity you have been given ,

When I got on my first plane, I started drinking, and I am not a drinker! Another time someone came two hours too early, and left. Then I was stranded at the Los Vegas air port almost all nite. I had to call Michigan, and leaver a message to my best friend to call my other friend to come back & find me. They rushed me to the air port, and told me I didn't need the address or phone number of the person picking me up. I hopped a cab , went 28 miles to a motel because it was the only one not booked. It was a night mare. eva

Be sure to keep any prescriptions in the original bottle!

Might be a good idea to get a copy of your prescriptions to have also.

Travel safely, and definitely prayers for you!

Hope you have a good trip. You can take your meds on board and you can take food if it is unopened. You can take snacks but you can't take something like a hamburger or other prepared food through security. If you buy something like that after you go through security, you can take it on the plane. Go to this website for all the rules.

    http://www.tsa.gov>
The airlines website should be able to give you info about baggage costs, etc.

    Happy travels!

You can take your medications on board. Even if they are liquid - if they are prescription you can take them on board. You can take food or drink on board, but the drinks have to be purchased after you pass through security. You can bring through an empty water bottle and fill it up at a drinking fountain to save $$. The cost to check luggage varies. If you have a carry on, certain airlines like American will offer to check it at the gate for free if the flight is going to be full. Others like Southwest do not charge for checked bags. Others like Jet Blue charge for bags all the time. Have a fantastic trip!
