Going for gold one step at a time.

Something keeps waking me up at about 3:15am. I usually try to go back to sleep. Today I just gave up and got up at 3:30. Grabbed breakfast and my cup of coffee, then dug into the new Module I'm teaching for math this month. I'm loving the fact that EngageNY teaches the kids the why behind why we do the algorithms the way we do. I'm learning new stuff every time I teach a lesson! Been a while since I've had an ah-ha moment when preparing a lesson. I'm loving all of the video options for me to be able to show my kids what to do with someone else talking so I can work side by side with my struggling kids.

Did my weigh in...Super proud of myself. Actually had to take 2 days off from my workouts. Stayed focused on my calories and stayed in my range. Made good choices the two times i wound up eating out (conference yesterday and Date-Night with DH on Friday). Still managed to keep my downward trend on track. Down to 192.7 emoticon

Took Moose out for an attempt at a jog. Was going to try for jogging 2/3 of a mile, only made it about 1/3 a mile though before my lungs started burning and I was coughing up phlem. So we finished with a brisk walk and came home to warm up my lungs with a hot shower and a couple of puffs on the inhaler (the one time this month I took neither cell phone or inhaler with me on the jog).

I guess I had best get my living room cleaned up before my cello partner comes over so we can practice for our Valentine's Day Tea at the Senior Center.

I wish you a spark-tastic day!
