My thoughs during my first run in Daylight Savings Time:
"It's dark, I'll have quiet time to do a long run. My shoes hurt, my calves hurt, I was okay on Sunday run, this is crazy. That's it, I'm walking home to change my shoes. Oh, much better, I will never ever wear those red and black shoes again, no wonder I have plantar fasciitis. In fact I will Never order or buy shoes I haven't gone to a running store and been fitted for. Talking hands-free on the phone is rude on a running trail but sure make the Miles go fast. I run for fun, and to clear my head. How can I turn a blingless race into bling? Oh, that's a good idea, I'll try it. Think I'll train for another round of full marathons next winter. Oh, almost 2 hours, I could go another if these guys weren't out here using a blower for these leaves! Oh no - these people think I'm talking to them - they don't know I'm on the phone.
Did I just promise her a run in the morning? Foot doctor said every other day, can't overdo it! Time to stretch!"
