Had a few days off the "diet" while my brother-in-law was visiting from England, gained some glycogen store weight and sodium bloat and have lost it all in 3 days back on IP.

Weight loss is a strange thing. We have this mental image of how our bodies are going to look when we reach our ideal weight, but the reality is that our shape will not change. It may be less extreme, but an hourglass will always be an hourglass, a pear always a pear, an apple always an apple .... just a smaller version. When I look in the mirror I don't see any real change because the shape is the same.

So, it was quite a shock when my bro-law uploaded his photos to my computer and I saw just how much difference there is when 85lbs is gone:-





Tomorrow sees a return to the track after 2 weeks away. Hoping that I can cope with the 28 minute run segment, because in 2 short weeks I have another 5k to battle.

Stay focused, keep positive little Sparklies! We CAN do this. :)

    Wow! You look great, what a difference! This has been my experience as well, that I look like me, just pulled in. Photo comparisons are sometimes the only way that I remember how much weight I've lost.

    What was your experience in going off plan for a few days, then doing Phase I for 3 days to get back into ketosis? Bearable? Indifferent? I imagine that having a structure for getting back into ketosis via Phase I helps a lot.

    Awesome progress! My first time at c25k and 30 min runs was daunting as well, once I settled into breathing through each moment to 'just see how far you can do this time, no judgment just my best for right now today, now? more? now?' it actually became enjoyable. You know, kind of like you're already doing for your eating... :) You've got this smart lady!!
