Staying the course....

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Been awhile I know. For one thing, I don't like reading what I write. It's kind of like listening to my voice on tape - doesn't sound a bit like I want it to. But since it's helpful for me, I'll try to be better about it.

The good - I've been tracking faithfully, eliminated all the junk from my house and am feeling much better. My weight continues to fluctuate, but for the most part, it's on a downhill course and that makes me happy. My running has also improved - I'm up to 7.5 miles now for my long run of the week!

The bad - I still can't seem to get a handle on sleep. And when I'm up in the middle of the night, I'm circling the fridge like a wolf seeking out it's prey. So my calories are still up there. The 5htp is helping. I'm upping my dose to see if I just need more. The sensible thing would be to eliminate caffeine, but I'm not ready to subject myself and my family to me with no morning cup of coffee. I might go to half caf. emoticon maybe.....

Have been busy working on getting the windows all cleaned. I don't mind cleaning windows, but I hate doing the mini blinds. I'd rather pitch them and buy new ones, but with my frugal side won't let me do that.

I also got out all of our spring/summer clothing. Not ready to put up the winter stuff yet, so our closets are a bit packed. I only have 1 pair of capris are a bit snug, but over half of my tops are too tight. I have some really cute tops, so it's extra incentive to shed at least 5 lbs. 10 would be better!

That's what's going on in my life. Hubby is getting a 3 day weekend this week. Lots of plans to finish painting our guest room, get the lawnmower up and running and take our camper in to get some work done on it. It will go by fast!
