When I weighed in this morning I realized I am only 4 pounds away from a goal I set for myself when I joined Spark People in Feb. of 2009. It has been a long road of ups and downs but I am getting there. When I reach that goal I will set a new lower one.
My iris are in their full glory. It rained for 2 days so some are a little beaten down but there are a lot that have just bloomed out that are beautiful. I love them! Just wished they lasted longer.
Hi Martha, I LOVE those amazing colors. I do agree they are over too soon. I came to Spark in 2009 and I am 5 pounds away from my original goal. That amazes me. I have never been a big YoYo weight but way too many Plateaus. !81 to 176---How long will it last. ((((HUGS))) Pat in Maine.
MARTHA, our hosta have just come up from the ground. The Tulips and daffodil were lovely and now gone by.
I love Iris but one year some nasty animal just killed them. I have no clue what it was. Mine were purple and yellow, I love that theme. I did notice they were changing to Brown or burgundy. Too bad about the virtual walk we are still doing one. I never realized that the west coast is so much different from here. You have a much different climate. When we came to US we were asked to go to live in Oregon. Thanks for the lovely photos. HUGS and much LOVE Pat in Maine. 2219 days ago
Congrats on approaching that important goal, Martha! How encouraging!
Your iris are breathtaking - and yes, I agree that it would be wonderful if they lasted longer. I've attempted to address that by planting reblooming iris last year, and this will be the first time I get to assess how that feeds my iris hunger. :)
Hope your day is a beautiful one, my friend. 2221 days ago
Lovely pictures. I have a lot of purple and redish ones, no yellows. So glad you are near your goal and are even contemplating the next goal. Good for you. Take it easy and enjoy the flowers. 2222 days ago
