Getting Back Into the Groove again.

Sunday, August 23, 2015

Here it is now August 2015 and it has been an ordeal for me to get back into the groove of trying to get this other 25 lbs off by next year 2016. I guess with all the hot weather, sickness, traveling over the summer I just got lazy and not doing my program, but somehow tonight when I went back from March when I last posted my weight and measurements I was thrilled to see I have lost 5 lbs and 2 inches in my measurements. I then decided that hopefully I have kick in my metabolism to begin to lose weight again. I got off Chia seed for a couple of months but going to fit this back in tomorrow. My blood work all came out good and even my cholesterol levels were good, not great yet, still a little high. Over all my health has improved but I am suffering a pitch nerve in my neck so before I go to bed I work out a little with my neck so it will not get stiff. The doctor told me that my EKG look so good so the heart valve is still working okay. He even suggest to me to get back into my walking again.

I got a jump on you but not by much! I am currently 17 pounds over goal but for the last month or so I have been walking with my neighbors twice a day. In the morning it's my directly across the street neighbor, and we walk to a nearby park and walk through the "Woodand Trail" and back home again. Takes us about 1h and 15 minutes and we log in almost exactly 4 miles. Then in the evening other neighbors and I do 1 big lap around our Village and another short one that eliminates the circles and cul de sac, which is about 1.75 miles. And I MUST be sabotaging myself with calories consumed, as I have really not lost any weigh! How can that be?! I really need to knuckle down on the calories in, and I have been trying to do that. We'll see how it goes when I get really serious about it. Just in sweat alone I should have lost a few pounds! To escape the heat we start about 6:45am. (I"m in NC so the humidity is a huge factor as well.) Good luck to both of us as we get back in the saddle again!
