Never ceases to amaze me how quickly old habits come back.
Got called in to sub at a local high school yesterday. Packed a great lunch (salad in a mason jar) and a protein shake for snack. Had 2 bottles of water and my morning cup of coffee. I was good and had my protein right on time. Drank my water. Went at lunch to get a fork to eat my salad. Came back with 24 oz of coffee instead. That's all I had until I got home. NOT OK! Can't do just salads for lunch when I'm working. I NEVER remember the fork (maybe I need to keep a box of them in the car). Oh yeah and was so tired, came home to papa murphy's pizza (yuck). Stayed in my calorie range for the day, but didn't eat well and didn't feel good most of the night.
DH made an interesting comment last night about the pizza. He says, "I just can't put away the 3-4 pieces like I used to. All of that greasy fat just makes me feel blah." This coming from a man who 4 years ago would eat no lean meat whatsoever. Prime rib fat was his favorite treat. (Makes me shudder to even type such a thing). Yet now greasy pizza makes him ill. LOL!
Seriously thinking about doing a 3 week cleanse with no animal fats and only plant based oils. I need to bust through this plateau, and the last time I went to a temporary vegan diet, I felt great and it restarted my metabolism....Thinking...Getti
ng DH to agree to a 3 week trial is the hard part.
Well, time to get ready for work. :-)
