It’s easy for me to stick to my plan during the work week. I exercise before work, take a healthy lunch, and come home and eat a healthy dinner. I have a routine. When the weekends come, the routine is thrown out the window. To be successful, I plan to do the following on the weekend:
1. Drink water, no soda
2. Continue to exercise when I first get up. It’ll just be later than normal.
3. Allow myself to indulge in a few unhealthy food choices, but not gorge myself.
4. Only eat when hungry.
Since I’m not on a diet, I need to learn some discipline. This is a new way of life. I have to be able to go to family functions, parties, and restaurants and make reasonable food choices. This is the only way I will be successful with my new healthy lifestyle.
