Be healthy at any size

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

I always thought that fit = happy, and happy = skinny, and skinny = pretty. I never really thought of being fit as being in a good state of health… I’m slowly starting to realize that being fit should equal happiness and no health issues relating to your weight. This is a good thing for us all!

A strong, fit body is the goal, absolutely, but we also have to be aware of an upward trend in our weight over time.

It took me 25 years to recognize the problem because I was always active and fit and fortunately healthy.

So if that were the case 25 pounds ago, why did I need to drag around the extra weight as I got older. It was only more stress on my heart and lungs and KNEES.

I had to face the fact that I was eating way too much. That's one advantage that skinny people have when they decide to get fit. They don't have to restrict calories while doing it, Of that, I've envious.

Well if that were true, I could never be skinny cause no one will ever call me pretty! I believe you can be fit at any size, and many skinny folks I know are far from healthy. Skinny is not a goal of mine!
