Beginning the Fourth Year on SparkPeople-it's worth the climb!

Sunday, January 03, 2016

Every January rolls around, and this is maybe the first January that I'm NOT making a resolution. After four years of working at my nutrition, weight lifting, sleep, emotions, boundaries, self-love, self-care, patience, objective observation, tackling my binge eating, losing 80 lbs, gaining 25 back, trying to lose again, getting divorced, finding new coping skills, leaning on people more than I ever wanted to, losing some people I thought I could lean on, being a leader for others, and continuing this journey, I had no idea what a roller coaster I was stepping on. I'm definitely checking in to say that even though I'm not where I want to be physically right now, my mind is getting stronger and stronger. My relationship with food is getting closer and closer to appropriate. My emotions are becoming just that-my emotions. My mental talk is getting kinder and is hardly ever critical anymore, and I hope I'm kinder to others. Happy January, Sparkers!!
