Didn't do so well with my eating today... bummer! I started off pretty good but things deteriorated later in the day. I let myself get too hungry and that set off some not so good choices.

I was up early this morning and put in my 30 minutes on the treadmill before breakfast. I spent a little time finishing up packing for our trip to Tacoma and then went to the gym for a 60 minute spin class. After I got home I finished up chores and got ready to go. I packed the DH and I a lunch so we could eat on the road. Tacoma is about a 3 1/2 hour drive and we wanted to get there before the traffic really got horrid. That seems to happen earlier and earlier and especially on Fridays. We did make it without encountering a lot of traffic back-up so that was a relief. We went to the place to pick up our race packets and they didn't have a T-shirt for my DH in his size. That was a disappointment, but they sent him over to a person who handles problems and they gave him an upgraded shirt in his size. Problem solved. He is doing the 5k and was supposed to get a cotton shirt and instead they gave him the tech shirt the 10k runners are getting. He left a happy camper. I also had a nice surprise. I am a member of the "Half Fanatics" and they gave me a bracelet so I could go to the VIP tent at the event. Nice! For you sparkers that run Half Marathons be sure to check out the Half Fanatics website. You pay a fee to join and a small annual fee but you also get discounts at various races and other perks. I like that I can log all of my race statistics in one convenient place. Here is a picture of Flat Rhonda all ready to jump into action.
