Had another great day filled with family and friends. The weather has been stellar and today it was all sunshine with little to no wind. My sister and I were sitting outside on the patio in the afternoon and actually got a little too warm!
Before breakfast this morning, I did manage to get over to the fitness center for 30 minutes on the treadmill. After I finished that and I got back to our condo it was time for breakfast which was a beautiful spread of fruit, granola, toast and smoothies. It has been a real food fest.
After everything and everyone was cleaned up we decided to drive South down the Coast to Yachats. As we meandered down, we browsed through a few antique malls and such. We had lunch at a charming restaurant which we had also eaten at last year. On the drive back North, we stopped at a glass blowing factory where beautiful glass pieces are made right in front of you. We bought a gorgeous floor lamp. My DH has this ugly lamp next to his chair at home, He really loved the glass floor lamp but I said the beauty of it would be marred by the lamp next to his chair. I have tried to get him to get rid of it before but he refused. Not today... he agreed so we got the new piece. Double score!
What 2 days in a row of no food tracking? Positively shocking....I hope that you understand that's supposed to be funny. You look so good....I enjoy seeing how happy you look on your latest adventure even if it's interfering with food tracking. You have been working so hard and a healthy life break is important - now I can say that because I KNOW that you will soon be back into the normal rhythms of life... .running... tracking.. .running... tracking. So here's to enjoying family, and beautiful glasswork and fun. Thanks so much for sharing the different parts of your life. 1958 days ago
Wow, that glass shop is indeed beautiful! I can see things in the photo that would have put a big dent in my wallet if I had stopped there. Some of those hanging lights fill my heart with longing. I just love colored glass. So glad your husband agreed to change lamps! 1959 days ago
