I have been Sleeved!

Monday, April 04, 2016

Hello! I know I have been away for a year. I guess I could say a lot happened in that year.
I hit a big time depression and basically all I did was sit on my butt on the sofa cry, watch tv or play on the kindle. Then i think it was December 2015 my therapist suggested weight loss surgery. First I was against it but then I thought "well since I am dying anyway why not?" So I started researching weight loss surgery online and seeing what types were available and watched hundreds of youtube videos of people who had weight loss surgery. I decided to go threw with it, I decided the "sleeve" was a good one to have because it was safer than the bypass but way better than lap band. So I called the hospital and got on the schedule for the first educational meeting. A week later I met with the suergion who explained everything to me, and I was given a big blue folder of everything I could expect and everything I had to do to get ready. I also was given a check list of the many doctors I would have to see to get clearance for surgery. So Between all the appointments and tests I had to go to and all the research and videos I watched to get myself ready 2015 went by so fast I do not even remember most of it, it was like i was in the first meeting in January then bam it was Feb 17,2016 and I was having surgery.

Since Feb 17th, I have lost 42 pounds and 16 inches off my waist!

I have to close for now because I am running a bit late so I will post more about this in another blog!

Hope every one is doing well!

So proud of you for taking those steps! I tried the same route this year and was told I was not heavy enough or sick enough. I either needed to gain weight or get another co-morbitities. Since then I have been using this app and losing weight!
