Someone Read My Mind

Just read the blog by Nancy Howard: Confession: "Getting Older Really Stinks, but I Guess it Beats the Alternative." I can truly relate to her comments. My friend Alvin and I frequently speak about the changes we are experiencing in the midst of the aging process. Our frequent response is: "can't be a 'Sissy' getting old." In other words we can't be cowards as we are bombarded by Father Time. I'm taking the high road. I will live with gusto from the power God gives me. Body may be racked with scars, pain, strains, or, whatever. Until I am called home bring it on Father Time because I am one tough customer who will not be exhausted by your stripes. I say we all keep stepping to the tune of amazing life in spite of what the mirror says, in spite of on lookers, or in spite of the murmurings emanating from within. Why, you ask? Because we have been blessed with longevity. Thank God! Thank God!! His Name be praised.
