So it's about a week since DH and I committed to be healthier. We both did good as far as eating. Some snacks, but they fit into our calories for each day. The first full week is always the hardest for me. It's like a test run, but it went well this time. So... how did we do? Well, DH lost (drumroll) 15 pounds! He always does amazing the first week. Me? I gained 6 pounds. Yes... I would have been better off eating whatever and having a margarita or two. But seriously? This is not unusual for me. Well, not to gain, but to stay the same or lose maybe only 1 pound which I am happy with. Oh well. It's OK. I am still one week healthier.
Time to pick up the exercise and stick to the plan. Some days vegetarian, some not. Stronger focus on sodium. Lower carbs. I still have my focus. I still have my motivation. That is all I need. That and a sense of humor. LOL
