Days 1-3 of the New 30 Day Stay Within My Calorie Range Challenge!!

I can't believe it's been 37 days since my last blog!! Honestly it felt longer and at the same time not as long. If you're a blogger I think you'll get that.
So what have I been up to in these 37 days you ask? Well let's see I fell off my previous 30 Day Stay Within My Calorie Range Challenge in a BIG way, finished my second year of Med school, moved, turned 25 and had to endure the worry of my husband being rushed to the hospital because of severe abdominal pain and subsequently undergoing an emergency appendectomy. I didn't realize how many "major" life changes I was enduring until I wrote that but yep it's been a helluva 37 days.
Anyway despite all the turmoil my weight did remain pretty constant even though my eating was outta control for most of those days. To be honest I can't even really compare my weight now to 37 days ago because my DH seems to have accidentally thrown away "my" scale during the move and so I'm now stuck with the other scale that we have that I didn't use because it was always a few pounds off from "my" scale. Anyway according to that scale as of today I'm 170 lbs and to be honest I'm not too mad at that number because it could have been MUCH worse!! Today I weighed in on that scale to give myself a starting point for my final push to the goal! I think I've had about 10 "final" pushes
but hey what's a girl to do but keep trying.
I have 30 pounds to lose and if I just stay focused and control myself I can get it done by at least October of this year and that's my goal!! My original goal at the start of the year was to be at goal by the 25th of this, the month I turned 25 but alas that did not happen and so why not try for my DH's and big sister's birth month.
I think I'll aim for the 25th again. So I'm publicly declaring here to all you my Sparkfriends that my goal is to weigh 140 lbs by October 25th, 2016 and am I going to achieve it, you bet I am!!
I've given myself a jump-start by restarting my 30 Day Stay Within My Calorie Range Challenge on Monday of this week because I really needed to rein in my eating. The Challenge is different this time because I'm doing it with a couple of you wonderful Sparkies. We're doing the challenge and keeping each other abreast by posting our daily progress in the SP chat thread with #30daychallenge !! I love the accountability that doing the challenge with others brings because now if I want to have that extra serving of food that I shouldn't I'm not just letting myself down but everybody who's doing the challenge with me and that really helps me to say no!! So today marks 3 on track days in that challenge just because of that so
I'm pushing on Sparkies and hopefully I'll be able to get back to my regular blogging now that life has settled a bit.
