Struggling...but there is a bright spot

I've very struggling that past couple weeks and my weight has slowly climbed. I've been in a funk and not sure why. So I been contemplating taking a break from all the challenge teams that I am on, because I feel I am bringing them down by gaining each week and bring the teams weight loss totals down.

So I decided to look back in my journal just to see how bad I've done. Since today is our 7 month anniversary and to my joy it really wasn't as bad as my head makes it out to be. In 7 months my weight is up 3.4 pounds. Yes I would have be a heck of lot happier if it was a loss but I am proud of myself because I know it couldn't be a lot worse. So I going to stop beating myself up and be happy with what I accomplishments I have so far and not let the little weigh gains deter me.

So I hoping this look back will bring me out of my's a good start.

    I had to take a step back with teams when I was overwhelmed with to many things going on at the same time. If a team is just confirming your loosing ground in your health journey, just pause all but the teams weekly challenge, work on the food journal and exercise videos that are only 10 minutes at a time till you regroup and gain some ground in feeling like your reaching all your new daily habits. Then it can be game on again with the teams. This is a wonderful place to work out how to balance your day. I always journal first, exercise video next, then if I have time, I blog and read other blogs to keep health as a priority. We are all in this together, the struggles are real, and spark is the place to find others with the same issues. I learned to never eliminate spark all together, I really need this community, everyone is so helpful to each other. Best wishes for 2017.

    It is good to look back and see where we have come from and what has gone on in our lives. I like Janet's comments about thinking of the challenge team as a support group to encourage us, especially when we are in a funk.

    I hope your funk goes away really soon. I have felt like that in the past for no good reason, I could think of, and it is awful. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Think of the challenge team as a support group to encourage you out of that funk! I had a horrible 5% in the Fall. I need the Winter to inspire me to get it together!! We can do this!!
