The link below is to my first day on Beck two years ago.

Even if I don't feel like using a diet skill, I have to do it anyway. If I do only what I feel like doing, I won't be able to lose weight an keep it off.

I'm reading the workbook again and getting my mind back in line. Eating and weight loss is always a mind game for me. Once I get my head around it, I do well. I don't have a lot to lose but a course of Prednisone a while back blew my mind, my body and my diet. It was the first time for me and I'll never let another doctor talk me into taking that particular drug again.

Oh well. The important thing is I'm here and so is Beck!

I don't like taking prednisone nor it's relatives either. Unfortunately for many conditions it is the drug of choice and there are no adequate substitutes. These drugs save lives but the side effects are a bummer. I take as little as I can when absolutely necessary and everyone should.

Prednisone used to drive my dog nuts. I finally refused the drug on his behalf. I don't know why both doctors and vets push that drug.

Sounds like you have a good plan!

Oh, I am SO with you on Prednisone and steroids. I'd have to be incredibly desperate and in a life threatening situation to ever agree to a course of steroids again.

I trust that you will be back on track in short order. You know what works for you and are working your plan. emoticon emoticon
