432 Days Away. Where does the time go?

Monday, April 01, 2019

I recently received a Spark Goodie from my dear friend KENDRACARROLL. When I logged on, I noticed it had been 432 days since I last updated my status.

Where did the time go? Have I really been that busy? Am I embarrassed that I have stayed away to long?

Maybe, a little of both.

Life in general is good. My love life is wonderful! My sons are doing well, and I am so proud of them! Seven years later and I still love my job.

Yes, there are a few hiccups, but they pale in comparison to trials and tribulations others I know are going through.

Health-wise I could be doing better. I have made some positive strides that are working. No weight gain - even lost a few pounds. Taking more vitamins and natural products, and eating more meats and vegetables. Not so many carb-filled or processed foods. Need to cut out more of the processed sugars and do more exercise. I have found that baby steps work best for me.

I have gone on a few adventures in 2019. My oldest son and I spent New Year's Day in the Twin Cities, before he had to catch a plane back to Oregon for work. Although it was very cold, we walked around Minnehaha Falls and U.S. Bank Stadium (home of our Minnesota Vikings).

Nearly frozen Minnehaha Falls.

My sister and I were supposed to see the Dancing with the Stars Tour in Minneapolis on March 6, but the Minnesota weather made it very dangerous to travel the 200 miles to get there. emoticon

My youngest son and I had two fun experiences together. On February 21 we attended Elton John's Farewell Tour stop in Minneapolis. Fortunately the weather cooperated. The concert was AWESOME! It was also a full-circle event for my son and I. I once saw Elton when I was 7-months pregnant with my son.

A week later, the two boarded a plane to visit one of my best friend's (and his Godmother) and her daughter in Florida. We spent an amazing week going to beaches, Kennedy Space Center, St Augustine, caught up with my late best friend's son and his family, and more. I am anxious to go back!

I truly want to get back to regular Sparking. I do miss my friends here, and know that I will receive so much encouragement on this journey to a healthy lifestyle!
