16 pounds in 4 months....?
Saturday, November 23, 2019
I know, I know...4 pounds a month isn't a lot. However to get that 16 pounds (well 15.8) I had to go to the gym at 6 a.m. 4 - 5 times a week. I had to watch what I eat and cut back my alcohol. I had to say no, more than yes to a lot of things. And all that has only gotten my 16 pounds. ONLY...16 pounds. HOWEVER, it has also gotten me:
1. 11.25 inches gone
2. 70 toes to bar when I couldn't do any a couple of months ago
3. 180 pound close grip bench press
4. Back squat pr when working with sets
5. 1000m row pr
6. Strict chin up
7. Completed the last Open in CrossFit
I am even more excited about the 11.25 inches. A coworker came to me the other day and said she could tell I was losing weight. I looked different. I love different, not skinnier. I am putting on my muscle, I have a butt (and want to keep it), my arms are showing definition, and I just feel better about myself.
What am I trying to say....be happy with slow progress. There is a reason it's slow...it's more about your body changing for the better than the number on the scale.
