So glad 2019 is behind me

2019 didn't start out well and it certainly didn't end well. Lost the love of my life on December 18, the day after my 76th birthday. I was thankful he went peacefully in his sleep that morning. He had two wishes he wanted to be able to stay home and he wanted to go in his sleep, and he was granted those two wishes. We'll have his memorial service on August 19, which would have been his 95th birthday, he was a World War II Navy man and will be interned at Fort Custer National Cemetery. January 22, we'd have been married 54 yrs.
Our kids were such a huge help during this time, don't know what I'd done without them, I'm so blessed.
Our grandson A.J. is still struggling to recover, it's been one thing after another ever since January of 2019, in and out of the hospital, in rehabilitation centers a couple of time and then back in the hospital. His parents were able to bring him home a little before Christmas, he was so homesick from being gone so much in 2019. He's still got a long road to recovery from the Gullian Barre Syndrome, it's a terrible illness and it doesn't help that he has cerebral palsy, born with it 38 yrs. ago. We just keep praying that things will start to turn around. He's dealing with a bad UTI right now, got medicine for that yesterday and March 11, they'll be doing a scope procedure on his kidneys, bladder and prostrate, he'll be put under and if they discover anything that needs to be taken care of they'll do it right then while he's under. I'll be going up to the hospital to sit with his mom while they are working on him. Just praying this will take care of some of his problems and help him feel better.
So now it's just taking one day at a time, adjusting to being just one now and trying to be there for my DD and GS and giving them support. Life certainly can be challenging but we're not ever alone, we always have a loving God to turn to, He's been so good to me.
2020 can be a better year, just have to keep the Faith.
I hope things in your life's are going good!
