Please read & comment on last blog. I updated MANY times since I wrote in it. As I will do with this 1. These blogs are my journal, to success!

emoticon 3-16-2020 Today I checked in with Spark land, again! BABY STEPS. emoticon Today is my 8th year, emoticon with 2,922 days of visiting EVERYDAY! I love this place & appreciate ALL of you! emoticon emoticon

My before photo. When I saw this, I prayed for an answer to my health, SP came to me 10 minutes, later! Prayer answered!!!!!

2 weeks ago, a 'during' photo!

My at goal, photo! Still a little ways to go to get back to it. BUT I am SO much healthier & stronger & happier, today!

emoticon 3-17-2020 May flowers always line your paths and sunshine light your day. May songbirds serenade you every step along the way. May a rainbow emoticon run beside you in a sky that's always blue with it's balancing rays! May happiness & JOY emoticon emoticon fill your heart each day your whole life through! emoticon Happy St. Patrick's Day emoticon This pot of gold represents to me, abundance in all forms; love; health; wealth & happiness! emoticon

I went to Costco after a lovely walk in our nature preserve, a spring fresh & sunny 3 miles. ALL the buildings are closed, except for 1 bath room. But the wild life doesn't know it, emoticon ! Costco was packed. The crew does an amazing job keeping everything together! Handing out sanitize-rs & directing people to the areas they came to the store for. (2 hour wait for TP & WATER bottles) We are pretty stocked up, too. Our neighbor bought TP online from Amazon! I would have shared with them, but no need, at this point. DH & I & LUCY emoticon are doing pretty good. Trying to stay balanced & not caught up in the drama going on around everyone. Spreading JOY when ever I can.

Pandemic 3-18-2020
(A sister sent this to us today, sure feels GREAT to have some positive thoughts! Right?

What if you thought of it, as the Jews consider the Sabbath---
the most sacred of all times? Cease from travel. Cease from buying & selling. Give up,
give up, just for now, on trying to make the world different than it is.
Sing. Pray. Touch only those to whom you commit your life. Center down.

And when your body has become still, reach out with your heart. Know that we are connected
in ways that are terrifying & beautiful. (You could hardly deny it now)

Know that our lives are in one another’s hands. (Surely, that has come clear.)
Do not reach out your hands, reach out your heart. Reach out your words. Reach out all the tendrils of compassion that move, invisibly, where we cannot touch.

Promise this world your love---- for better or for worse, in sickness & in health, so long as we all shall live.
-Lynn Ungar

(I KNOW I've posted this photo before, but seemed perfect for this message!)
3-19-2020 Happy SPRING- Autumn! emoticon emoticon We are ALL going through the same things, in different ways. Our blue planet needs our LOVE! emoticon I am SO grateful for this amazing website-family. I send all of you BIG hugs & am VERY happy the internet still is on! Please keep joy in your hearts. If you need us, we are here, for each other! emoticon emoticon

3-20-2020 emoticon Hi! Everyone! I'm keeping our world together, hope you are too! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon 3-21-2020 Going for a long walk & 'counting' the birds emoticon in my back yard, for Migratory Bird day! Also, today is my Fairy God Daughter's Birthday, in Portland OR, emoticon sending her love & her new baby, too!

emoticon 3-22-2020 What I am doing during this VERY quiet time: Happy 1 month Birthday emoticon to my emoticon new FAIRY GOD DAUGHTER! I have been doing ALLOT more communicating through the internet, texting, phone &&&&. I have been playing with my clothes. Putting on things I forgot I had. Waiting to wear them for business meetings, etc. I feel so pretty, dressing up just for me! & DH of course! I plan on getting into our garden. Last Saturday, we cleaned the house from top to bottom, I'm cleaning out drawers & spaces that have needed it for several years. BABY steps here! We CAN go outside, (Las Vegas) so our back yard paradise is where I spend some time, too cold for pool right now. Also, keeping 10 feet away of others, using a mask & gloves & hand sanitize. Our park behind us, closed for refurbishments, just before this all started. It IS so wonderfully quiet in the neighborhood, now! Walking our dog, etc. So yesterday I went to the Wetlands & walked several hours. Spring is everywhere there, too! I am also doing more SP videos, my favorite as I have said, forever, is SP Nicole's 12 minute seated core work out. I also plan on getting back into my Sheppard Pilates DVD. I WAS able to do it 3 times a week. I stopped when I hurt my knee. But better, now. It REALLY brings in the inches. Also, we are running our business from home, as best we can. So far so good! I think the most important thing for me is to stay positive. Stop & smell the flowers. Period. emoticon emoticon emoticon

(From yesterdays hike)

(this hummer played with me for several minutes!)

(photo posting from IAMJETTA, thx SP friend!

3-24-2020 Ok, time for some laughs! emoticon

(social distancing)

3-25-2020 I realized 3 months ago was Christmas! AND 7 months to go before the next one! emoticon I have kept my little Christmas tree up. It makes me feel good to see the little twinkle lights. As we are getting more & more locked into our lovely homes, I am trying to find ways to exercise, as in walking. I usually do 3 miles a few times a week. Today the wind is going to be 35MPH. So I took Lucy dog, out early. She was happy to get out. She DOES have a nice back yard, but not the same!

Also, communicating with family & friends through the internet. Doing things that bring me joy. Taking photos, is 1 thing I love! NOW I have time to edit them! We usually work out of our home & still are. But things have changed for us, as I am SURE they have for you! Let's just keep our sunny side's up!

IF you want to read blogs from SP, GINASPARKS3; she has/is living through it, today is her 62 day! Check out her blogs, she is a GREAT emoticon for all of us!

(Lucy watching her version of TV)

(I took photos of SPRING in our paradise back yard this last Sunday. REMEMBERING my bliss!)

emoticon 3-26-2020 My hair guy's shop closed. But he invited me to his home (we can visit people with up to 9 people) & he did my hair last Monday (just the 2 of us). He cut it VERY short (for me), just in case. Our state NV isn't on total lock down, yet. But I have been VERY careful or not going out for several weeks, now. Washing hands, masks, gloves, hat, etc.... I put hand sanitizer on top of the gloves & mask, too. Just as an extra protection. So when I DO have to venture out, I can feel a little safer. I have been keeping 10 feet away for everyone, again for several weeks.Check out GINASPARKS3 blogs. She has been living through it for several months, GREAT info! Once I started reading her, I immediately followed her advise. At first people thought I was weird, they don't now!

I think THE most important thing to do for our health is to 'play', whatever that means for you! emoticon emoticon . I've been taking photos around our yard; editing photos; cleaning closet spaces; cooking & trying new recipes; coming to Spark land more often, etc. Finding the JOY in life, as it changes, daily! How about you? emoticon Stay happy! emoticon

(thx IAMJETTA for photo!)

emoticon 3-27-2020 OK, Kris, I won't go to his home, anymore! I am VERY careful. Today I am delivering our jobs. That is how we make a living. IF their offices are closed, I will take to FED EX. I AM a delivery person. I WILL be very MORE careful, thx for advise!

Love the peanut holder!!!!l! Love you all! I'm off to it!
PS.... Yesterday I took Lucy to vet, I didn't go in. I called them to say she was there. They unlocked the door, I put her in & they locked it again. I was under my mask & gloves. I put hand sanitizer on the OUTSIDE of mask & gloves, too. IF she didn't need this test, believe me, she wouldn't have gotten it! But tests came back BETTER! Her pancreas is better, now! We thought she maybe dyeing of cancer. But results show she is doing MUCH better, with new drug!!!! When I got her back, I put hand sanitizer on her coat, just in case! Then called them & paid over the phone, YIKES! But happy she is better!

THX everyone for your advise! We ARE listening as best we can! emoticon

emoticon 3-28-2020 I am going outside for some sunshine! Woo Hoo! YES! I will be VERY protected, no worries, here! Hope you can find ways to be happy, healthy & exercise!

New information coming from Johns Hopkins Hospital.

The following is from Irene Ken physician, whose daughter is an Asst. Prof in infectious diseases at Johns Hopkins University, quite informative.

* The virus is not a living organism, but a protein molecule (DNA) covered by a protective layer of lipid (fat), which, when absorbed by the cells of the ocular, nasal or buccal mucosa, changes their genetic code (mutation) and converts them into aggressor and multiplier cells.

* Since the virus is not a living organism but a protein molecule, it is not killed, but decays on its own. The disintegration time depends on the temperature, humidity and type of material where it lies.

* The virus is very fragile; the only thing that protects it is a thin outer layer of fat. That is why any soap or detergent is the best remedy, because the foam CUTS the FAT (that is why you have to rub so much: for 20 seconds or more, to make a lot of foam). By dissolving the fat layer, the protein molecule disperses and breaks down on its own.

* HEAT melts fat; this is why it is so good to use water above 25 degrees Celsius for washing hands, clothes and everything. In addition, hot water makes more foam and that makes it even more useful.

* Alcohol or any mixture with alcohol over 65% DISSOLVES ANY FAT, especially the external lipid layer of the virus.

* Any mix with 1 part bleach and 5 parts water directly dissolves the protein, breaks it down from the inside.

* Oxygenated water helps long after soap, alcohol and chlorine, because peroxide dissolves the virus protein, but you have to use it pure and it hurts your skin.

* NO BACTERICIDE OR ANTIBIOTIC SERVES. The virus is not a living organism like bacteria; antibodies cannot kill what is not alive.

* NEVER shake used or unused clothing, sheets or cloth. While it is glued to a porous surface, it is very inert and disintegrates only:
- between 3 hours (fabric and porous),
- 4 hours (copper and wood)
- 24 hours (cardboard),
- 42 hours (metal) and
- 72 hours (plastic).

But if you shake it or use a feather duster, the virus molecules float in the air for up to 3 hours, and can lodge in your nose.

* The virus molecules remain very stable in external cold, or artificial as air conditioners in houses and cars. They also need moisture to stay stable, and especially darkness. Therefore, dehumidified, dry, warm and bright environments will degrade it faster.

* UV LIGHT on any object that may contain it breaks down the virus protein. For example, to disinfect and reuse a mask is perfect. Be careful, it also breaks down collagen (which is protein) in the skin.

* The virus CANNOT go through healthy skin.
* Vinegar is NOT useful because it does not break down the protective layer of fat.
* NO SPIRITS, NOR VODKA, serve. The strongest vodka is 40% alcohol, and you need 65%.
* LISTERINE IF IT SERVES! It is 65% alcohol.
* The more confined the space, the more concentration of the virus there can be. The more open or naturally ventilated, the less.

* You have to wash your hands before and after touching mucosa, food, locks, knobs, switches, remote control, cell phone, watches, computers, desks, TV, etc. And when using the bathroom.

* You have to HUMIDIFY HANDS DRY from so much washing them, because the molecules can hide in the micro cracks. The thicker the moisturizer, the better.

* Also keep your NAILS SHORT so that the virus does not hide there.

3-29-2020 Just doing 'stuff' to keep our world afloat! Happy, healthy Sunday!!!! emoticon

emoticon 3-30-2020 Dressed for action!!!! Off to walk LUCY! emoticon

(THX from a SP friend)

emoticon 3-31-2020 The last day of March, I'm still wondering what happened to Christmas! emoticon Been a strange for all of us, right????? I'm staying balanced & happy & healthy, how about you? Taking my life 1 hour at a time. Seems to work for me!
emoticon I had a dream last night I was performing at the BIG art's center, it is closed of course, but SO fun thinking of doing it, there! In my waking life, I would have gone to the center & applied to perform there, in the 1990's, but way beyond my life, right now. I love being entertained, even if it's in my dreams!

Winter into Spring

4-2-2020 I had a chance to walk HOURS, yesterday, at Costco. Felt great! I WAS, as always VERY protected. Didn't go out today, even around neighborhood. LUCY is limping & I don't want to hurt her more.

I've been working most of the day on computer. There are several people writing a history book of CA puppet theaters. Of course ours will be in it. So I've been helping get some photos & facts &&&& to help out.

It's 5pm & I have been here almost all day! I'm ready to move! Love you all, stay safe! (Remember when we would say, "Have a good day"? Seems years ago!

(photo of my Mom in middle, Fairy God Mother & friend, 1972)

emoticon 4-4-2020 Tonight is a VERY special night of prayer. It is world wide, hope you can join in! 7:45 pm, PST. Where ever you live in the world, lets bring positive energy, prayers, meditation, universal energies, the Force or just good ((((((((vibes)))))))) can't hurt, right? "See' you then!

emoticon 4-5-2020 emoticon for us ALL! I'm ok, trying to keep exercised emoticon & not over stress eating. Just like everyone. ALLOT more work, because we are at home, most of the time! Not as much time to SP. emoticon Let's try to stay happy & healthy, for each other! The prayer, meditation for the planet, emoticon emoticon last night seems to have helped! Let's keep it going! emoticon

My father was a minister. His sermons were amazing! Happy Palm Sunday, if you celebrate it!

4-6-2020 a very LONG REPLY to GINASPARK3:

Oh! Gina, you may KNOW how this helps, us all! I do wish our grocery stores would be 'safer'. I went to a store, Saturday, wearing mask & gloves, that I used hand sanitizer on inside & out before I went in. etc. They DID spray off the carts & they only let in a few people at a time, 6 feet apart, out side, but people inside, didn't keep away. Also no wipes at the door. I won't be going back to that store until 'they get it'!

I've been only shopping at Costco & Sam's club. They have it SO much better together, but they didn't have some of the things we eat almost daily. Beans, etc. But Costco especially, REALLY are being careful. I am grateful for that! I don't need to go very often, maybe 2 times a month. & that's ok. I am VERY cautious.

Because of YOUR writings on SP, & our team 50 plus, all these months ago, I was able to start with the procedures, several months ago. We have been self quarantined, since March 1 or so. THANKS to you! IF we had waited till the government told us to stay home, except???? it wouldn't have started till March 15. 2 weeks IS a big deal, as you know! Our parks & schools & non essential businesses, are finally closed. Many of us, 'get it' & are helping other people, get it too. I DO walk our dog, protected & don't let any one near us. I generally stay 10 feet apart.

My DH & I work mostly from home, thankfully. Our clients are also, now & we are able to get our 'product' to everyone through the internet. We started doing this as an option to go "GREEN", In January & their cost is lower because we are not printing the report & delivering. Amazing timing!

I do KNOW when this is over, our lives will be very different. BUT, I feel there are so many positive changes, like our planet earth, will be safer for it. People more aware of how we are hurting, her, through pollution, etc.

OK, I'm off my soap box, ready to wash my hands! LOL! THANK YOU AGAIN, for sharing with all of us! Your help has possibility helped our health. DH is at high risk, he had pneumonia, 6 years ago for 5 months, almost lost him. BUT now, because of you, we know what to do! Stay safe! I KNOW you know how & hopefully your world will come through it, safely! I Bless you, daily!

emoticon 4-7-2020 I'm working today, off to FED EX. I use to deliver to the offices, not happening that way right now. BUT we ARE figuring out how to stay working! GREAT for us!!!! emoticon BECAUSE WE ARE!My new fanny pack arrived! It is huge AND grey for spring. I wanted white, but this is as close as I can get. It will be GREAT for my long walks, right????

(on SP today, I don't need a denist right now, but a check up would be nice!)

4-8-2020 Been thinking about what grows in our yard, we can eat. Pomegranates, in Autumn. Now dandelion..... tea, tempura, etc.Rosemary & Aloe Vera, growing wild in a little patch of front yard! Not really sure how to use it, except for burns. Any ideas?

(with LUCY, planted last year!)

emoticon 4-EASTER-12-2020 Busy Easter day! Having fun, decorating & cooking, & just walked LUCY! Just DH & LUCY dog & me, but having fun!!!! Easter Lilly's, DH favorite when she was a live. These are in honor of our Mothers! emoticon GREAT hike yesterday, with social distancing!

emoticon 4-13-2020 Our Easter was good. I made sure it was a celebration! Twinkle lights on, I decorated the table, cleaned downstairs, made grilled fish & pineapple & Cosco's carrot & zucchini chocolate muffins. (120 cals each) We watched a serious, uplifting movie, called THE SHACK. Walked LUCY in the quiet area near 'her' park. Usually brimming with people for egg hunts, but it is closed for refurbishments. Lights & new bathroom. They started just before lock down. Called Mom & just had fun being together! emoticon I walked on Saturday at my favorite Nature Preserve & saw a bunny! Hope you had a good 1 too! Celebrating Spring, right???? emoticon

(Our Fairy God Daughter, great niece)

(a neighbors front yard, on our walk)

emoticon 4-14-2020 Today I have been catching up with DH business, as we learn to adjust to this online, everything. emoticon We are doing good. A LOT more cuddly &. LUCY gets longer walks, well, at least as long as she wants! I bring her home, brush her & go out for a longer walk around the neighborhood. Remember to have fun!

A Humming bird came to our upstairs window & 'played' with me for several minutes. SO PRECIOUS!!!! I kept talking to her. No photos, but MAXIMUM fun! Be safe & I will too!

(desert flower from our walk today)

emoticon 4-17-20 I'm having a lovely, low energy day. I worked VERY hard yesterday, gathering food & doing errands. emoticon Protected of course. It DOES take allot of energy, to 'stay safe' out in the world. emoticon Catching up with DH business on the computer, while listening to classical music. emoticon Today is date night. emoticon So we will play with our favorite TV shows & be together. I'll make BIG salads emoticon & have pizza delivered. emoticon Mine fav is double pineapple & pepperoni. A REAL splurge. (I don't eat much of the crust) Happy, healthy Friday! THX for sharing yourself with all of us! emoticon I'm here for you too! emoticon

(watching Aloe grow in front yard. First time for a flower, ever!)

(THX RUTHIEBEAR for posting this amazing flower!)

(thx BELLAMEMAW for the image)
emoticon 4-19-2020 Today the small depression I was in, is lifting. Happy for it. emoticon (I NEVER get down, like this) Our friend gave us some fresh organic lemons. emoticon Not sure what to do with all of them, I will probably share with neighbors, too! I generally only put a slice in hot water, once in awhile. I don't want them to rot! Any ideas? I also made FULL grain waffles with pecans in it. Topped with blueberries emoticon & maple syrup. Sauteed greens, YUMMY!

(he also cut my hair, Woo Hoo!!!!!)

LUCY after our walk!

4-20-2020 emoticon ALL for the ideas with Lemons!!!! GREAT ideas, every one of them! Off to walk LUCY! Beautiful, 74 sunny day! emoticon

emoticon 4-22-2020 Today is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day! Here is a song, that is perfect for it! Be happy, stay safe & thank you for being 'here'!

"Let there be peace on earth & let it begin with me.
With God as our father, brothers all are we.
Let me walk with my sisters, in perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me, let this be the moment now!
With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow,
to take each moment, & live each moment, in perfect harmony,
let peace begin with me, let this be the moment now."

emoticon emoticon 4-24-2020 Happy Arbor day emoticon emoticon ! I wish I could grow redwood trees! I use to live in them, so beautiful!!!!!! We are doing ok. Keeping 'it' together. How about you?

emoticon 4-25-2020 I woke up full of spit & vinegar! (A saying from my Grandma) I walked our sweet LUCY dog, emoticon did some laundry, cleaned out apart of our storage unit in back yard, cleared out a flower bed, ready to plant emoticon , talked with neighbors 6 feet apart, skimmed pool, worked on computer for DH business, called a friend, & now SP. It's 2 pm & hot! 92 degrees! Tomorrow 96, YIKES! So fast, what happened to Spring??? So I'm in for the day. & it's ok! I feel REALLY good, moving my body in so many different ways!!!!! How are you all doing? Staying happy & safe? Sure hope so!

(LUCY after her VERY short cut)

(our Aloe flower in front yard, opening day by day!)

emoticon 4-27-2020 I've been adding A lot more minutes, gardening. emoticon emoticon It is AMAZING how much 'cats claw' has taken over part of our back yard & the neighbors house, from our side!! The vines are an inch thick! I DO need to get out at sunrise if I'm going to tackle that plant again, it IS huge & spreads EVERYWHERE! emoticon 180 minutes of gardening! Glad my 'core' is strong!

First, I walked LUCY dogie emoticon . Then I got our raw veggies packed, rainbow carrots; asparagus; celery; snow peas; for my 'grab & go' even though I don't go out much, these days. I still eat them for lunch or snack. (Turkey jerky; hard eggs; or celery & peanut butter, too) emoticon Made our GREEN drinks, breakfast. Also made Lucy her favorite 'soup' veggie & chicken. emoticon The temps are going up. It's 96 today. 102, emoticon tomorrow, only down to 77. It was 67 high LAST Monday! I am being VERY adaptable emoticon with our life right now. Plus working, of course! Sharing a little with you! emoticon Be happy & safe!! AND I will try, too! emoticon emoticon

(photos of wall between our home & neighbors, BEFORE I started whacking it)

A little after, still a ways to go!!!!

(pretty Bougainvillea in our yard)

emoticon 4-28-2020 THX Peaches11: Great info about cat's claw being an herb & usually grows in rain forest. Interesting it is in our back yard. The area it grows IS very rain foresty. Lot's of humidity, because of the pool & watering system. Under palm trees. We actually planted it on the fence backing up to the park. Didn't want kids coming over it. Seems to work. The area I am clearing out, I didn't know it was growing there! Truly amazing plant. I 'worked' another 150 minutes, today. 3 more feet. PLUS found the water control 'hole'! Been looking for years! After walk with LUCY & before the heat hit. About 6:30 am. I sure am getting exercise! Mostly like pulling ropes. GREAT core workout. I'm back to work, (inside). Not sure this is very interesting to you, but it IS what I am doing! Be happy everyone! & I will try, too!

(flowers of Cat's claw, from the web)

emoticon emoticon APRIL! 4-30-2020 I had an intense time, yesterday. Mom (91 yrs.) went into the hospital. She couldn't walk, or even put her legs into bed. Her new room mate, (a God send) called 911. Turns out Mom was dehydrated. Drinking only about 4 cups of tea, a day. (they wouldn't let me into the hospital) Mom's room mate is NOT a care giver, just a wonderful friend. She couldn't lift Mom's legs into bed. She has a bad back. When she moved in with Mom, in late January, Mom was doing good.I talked with Mom, late afternoon after she got home. We talked & cried & laughed. She promised to drink more water. I was hoping to visit Mom for Mother's Day. But with everything being closed AND DH & his business still going & Lucy needing me here, I'm not going. I did many errands, 'out there'. I only go out about 1 time a week. This episode with Mom, helped all of us, realize we need to make a new plan, for her, just in case. So we are.

Today I hacked more of the Cat's claw. About 3 feet. It is SO pretty, sorry it has to go. But the neighbors house has become a fire trap. Just not worth it. Also, it is killing bushes. BUMMER. Just to let you know, our property is quite small. Not even a 1/4 acre. It has a 1,500 Square foot house & A HUGE pool. Not really much room for a plant like this. I'm sure it would be beautiful on VERY large acres of land. But not in the city. The landscapers put it in, when the pool went in, 2005. I knew it was climbing over the wall & asked the gardener to keep it trimmed. But, it is what it is ,right? I AM getting ALLOT of exercise, & it is helping me let go of frustrations. A GRE
