My plan for busting excuses!

I've lost weight in the past and tried to lose weight what feels like a million times. Looking back, the thing that seems to have been my biggest downfall is my perfectionism and my all-or-nothing attitude. I've reset my goals countless times because I've fallen off the wagon for a day or two. I've given up trying to eat healthy for the entire day because I overate at breakfast. My goal this time around is to be consistent and keep moving forward even if I stumble. That being said, I want to make a plan for the days when I want to give up.
I've picked some great rewards if I can keep up an exercise streak, so that is definitely helping to motivate me. If I don't want to exercise, I need to remind myself that I only need to do 10 minutes for the day to count. I've set up some exercise equipment in my living room so there's no excuse for me to not do just ten minutes at home. I've also saved some short, easy yoga videos for headache relief, sore muscles, and self-care in case there are days when I'm not feeling 100%. I've even made a list of ten reasons why I should exercise and hung it on my fridge in case I need a reminder!
I'm also making a list of motivational techniques to use in case I take a step backward and want to give up. I've been saving a motivational picture to a special Pinterest board every morning, so there's a vast collection of inspirational quotes and pictures of my goals to look through when I want to give up. I also have been getting my family involved in my healthy lifestyle, and I know that they will support me when I need it. In moments of weakness, I can walk to my mailbox (a .5 mile walk round trip) to get some fresh air and get my blood going.
I'm very determined to make a permanent change this time around! This means that things may move slowly and I'll have many imperfect days. But I'm going to embrace those days this time around and learn from them!
