Self-care goals!

Okay, so this illness has got me down. My energy is low. So I'm going to set some new goals that will hopefully lift my spirits: self-care and wellness goals!

Some things that I would like to start doing daily and tracking are:
- Stretching for 10 minutes.
- Reading and/or listening to music for 30 minutes.
- Not picking up my phone for one hour after waking up.
- Putting my phone away an hour before bedtime.
- Taking my time while showering/getting ready for bed.
- Snuggling with my husband and/or kids for 5 minutes.

I do a lot of these things fairly regularly now, but I often rush through them. They make me feel better and I want to start being more mindful. I also need to get offfffffff my phoneeeeee. What do you do to lift your spirits and take time for yourself??

    Find something that makes you feel better while you are getting better. I watched Indian Matchmaker on Netflix a little escapism. We are doing the sleep challenge this next week so you will be able to rack up points for you team!

    Sounds like a great plan! It takes lots of energy to stay mindful about really counts. I see no harm in enjoying your phone but putting it away is important too. Find your balance. And remember no one is perfect. What is most important is that we not give up.

    To lift my spirits- Outdoor walks, music with rock and r&b being my favs, yoga, sitting with my morning coffee and using my iPad for spiritual readings, and YouTube for Christian music and meditation, checking in on Spark, spending time with family, shopping with a friend, occasional treat/massage, watching the birds at my feeder...lots to be grateful for.

    As for your illness, this too shall pass.

    Like you I enjoy my longer shower time of at least 30 minutes or longer. Snuggling with my only living creatures in my household- my cats is enjoyable. My Internet and phone usage is also high but since for work/income unlikely to change much
