I hope you are having a great weekend! The crisp fall mornings are here in Northern California. But someone on our team in Connecticut mentioned snow this weekend. I hope you are enjoying fall wherever you are located.
Yesterday was Day 345 of my fitness streak. Still going strong with the 1-year mark coming up soon.
My highlight yesterday was doing a new hiking route in the morning. It was cold, but fun to do a 45-minute hike to start the day.
I did have some Halloween treats like my wife made caramel apples and I had to test the caramel quality (it was so good I had to test it twice!)
If you are a music fan -- especially of country-western music -- someone on our team has a daughter who has a new release. Best wishes to Coco Reilly on her launch! Spread the word if you are a fan. Here are her first 2 songs if you are interested:
Yesterday I walked with a new friend (6 feet apart of course!) on a new route. We were having such a good time I hadn't realized that we had walked an hour and 15 minutes, then we turned around and walked back to our cars, another hour and 15!! My FitBit called me an overachiever. Today is my rest day. Tonight it is going to snow and the prediction is for up to 20 cm! I wonder though, in Northern California, how cold is it when you say it's "cold." 176 days ago
Happy Veterans Day! This weekend I’m volunteering for our local Track Club as they host only our second outdoor race since coronavirus. I’ll be working registration table and finish line. All volunteers will have masks and gloves. The race will be a staggered start with participant numbers limited. Normally, we have a marathon, half-marathon & 5k. We only were approved for 5k. So happy to be part of this event! 187 days ago
This is AWESOME! Such hard work, but you are crushing it! Making a commitment to yourself and to make it a year streak is such an inspiring thing to watch you do. When you make that year streak milestone, how will you celebrate? I bet completing that goal will be a huge celebration all in itself. Thanks for sharing the video as well. She is very talented. 191 days ago
I tried to vote early for several days but it ran into somedays heavy rain falls, extremely windy days and loads of people on lines that went around the buildings. So, the way I looked at it was that I wasn't meant to join any of the lines and waited for today. I was able to go in and out within a matter of minutes. Guess it was meant to be that I waited. 195 days ago
Congratulations on almost reaching a year exercising. I bet you feel so good as I do. A little treat here and there will never hurt anyone. Just keep going on your exercising. You can have a little more calories when you exercise. 196 days ago
No exciting plans for the weekend. We've learned to do groceries on Wednesday now that we've entered retirement. Fewer crowds and recently restocked store on that day. Fitness is still a priority even now in maintenance mode. We're also working on tightening up the insulation on this Maine house. Little by little getting stuff done. 196 days ago
Thanks for sharing the music. Glad you had a great day. We have been waking up to the 20's & 30's and end up in the 50's so not complaining. Most years we don't even see a fall! 196 days ago
Sounds very nice, I love Northern California. I live in Boise, Idaho and we went golfing in beautiful weather on Saturday. It is probably our last time to golf until next spring.🍁 197 days ago
Happy to hear that things are going well for you with your exercise challenge. Hard to believe it's almost been a year already. We have snow on the ground here in Ohio today. I'm not ready for that yet. Have a great week. 197 days ago
We had our 1st big snow fall on 10-20 this yr. of 8" and temps have been Dec. and Jan. level temps. We finally have the week ahead to enjoy our Indian Summer with temps of 60. We are normally in TX for the winter by now but the virus is keeping us home in MN. for a few more weeks. 197 days ago
