I have lost quite a bit of weight in the past few weeks. I wanted to write here how I have done it for anyone who is wondering or interested. Let me state in advance I have struggled with my weight since college and I have tried just about everything. I firmly believe everyone has to find out what works for them period. Every human body is different and every metabolism is different and there is not one way or one program that works for everyone. What I have found and am doing is working for me better than anything else I have ever done and it is something that I feel comfortable doing, something that that is a lifestyle that I see I can easily sustain permanently, with possible tweaks for holidays, vacations, after I meet my goal, and for temporary breaks while I am working towards my goal.
I started at the end of June. I lost 20 pounds, then some major life things happened and I took a break from the program. However, I maintained that 20 lb. loss for 3 months. I did not gain my weight back in spite of a couple of huge life changing stressors to me and my family. That is the first time I have been able to accomplish that kind of maintenance ever.
I got back on the program recently and I have lost another 15 pounds in the past 2 weeks.
I have done this through the Keto diet, and Intermittent Fasting and I am using the program
Eat Like a Bear
The lady who started this has a Youtube channel as well that I happened to stumble upon in June by accident and I would say it has saved my life. You will see this lady's amazing results on her website and youtube channel along with the amazing results of many others.
Beyond that I won't go into detail you can just go to her site and channel and check it out yourself.
Many, many of the people who are doing her program are like me. They have had struggled with their weight and weight loss for many many years and have tried everything. All I can say is this works for me and it is lasting weight loss. I feel fantastic and I am rarely hungry. There is nothing like success, and lower numbers on the scale to keep me going. But even when the scale has stalled a little which it has the past few days, I focus on all the NSV's I have had and the inches that have come off even when the scale slows down or stops.
I will add that my goal is some kind of movement every day, exercise of some sort, and walking is my favorite exercise. However, I have learned by experience, that you can not out exercise a bad diet or eating plan, or eating lifestyle. Yes, I have heard that said but I personally have experienced that as well.
I wish success to everyone here no matter what program you are doing. You can do it, you really can, just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Baby steps add up to big results.
