Nutrition Tracker Tips?

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

emoticon Last night I took the time to plan for my meals today. I hit all of my numbers without going over in calories. I typically find it hard to get in all of the fiber I need without going over in calories. But today I just added spinach to my lunch and dinner and that still wasn't enough, so I added ground flax seed to my lunch and dinner recipes and boom there was the fiber I needed without significant calorie increase.

emoticon With all that being said, this is not something I have a ton of time for each night. So I will have to play around with the nutrition tracker to figure this out. I know that one thing I will do is keep breakfast pretty simple and add it to my favorites.

emoticon If you have any suggestions on using the nutrition tracker quickly and efficiently please let me know. What are your tips for using the nutrition tracker?

I agree with creating groups of foods. Also, if you eat the same thing often, it's easy to call them up because they are in the system already. When I started, I posted everything, but now that I learned so much from doing that, I know what I need to do and just use it here and there to compare ingredients.

Good luck and congratulations on your progress!!

When you hear, let me know. I find it frustrating and time consuming.

The scanner feature is awesome! Then for stuff that I make I find the nutrition info using the Verywell Fit recipe calorie and nutrition calculator and add it to my favourites instead of adding ingredients separately.

I create groups of food to add especially in work days. Work breakfast might be oj, toast with almond butter & a high protein yogurt with walnuts - then I can just add it easily & update it as my needs change.
