I decided on January 1 I would weigh in only twice a month and not daily or even weekly...it psyches me up to continue on! I was happy when I saw a four pound drop! I planned most days either on paper or in my mind what I would eat and stayed true to plan most days! I still allow a treat of 200 calories daily, BUT I keep my treats in the basement where I have to go down the steps, which hurt my knees, to get it and I use PORTION CONTROL!! You don't need a bag of chocolate but one piece or even two is satisfying when I eat it mindfully!
I've also been trying to move more and exercising more...using Essentrics from PBS...wonderful deep stretches for the entire body by Amanda Esmonde White. I have not had to ice daily either...since I had the L2-L5 fusion a year ago, it has been a long haul. I am determined to walk further and better this year and with support here at Spark, friends, hubby, and above all God, I will make it!!
