End of “Week 6” | Beginning of “Week 7”

The journey is of course longer than that but as far as assessing strategies I will think with regard to this 5% Challenge. January 9th, 144 lbs. First few weeks, progress was quite slow. Suddenly a great weigh-in! 139.8! New Middle Digit!!!! Yahoo! It feels so great, but 4.2lbs is really not that much, but still a scale victory which I am hopeful I can maintain. I never want to see FOUR as the middle number again! I am certain it is all because of my attempts to keep (processed) carbs to a minimum. I have all the players in position: low carb tortillas, waffles, noodles and snacks. Am not overdoing it though and am allowing myself to have an indulgence now and then (one potato and 1/2 a cupcake at last night’s Raclette Dinner Party). This weight loss progress has been so difficult I just need to remind myself (constantly) not to undo all my hard work with temporary gratification!
I further think that if I could lower the alcohol consumption even further I would have even better/quicker results. So that will be a goal for this week. I also need to be a bit more vigilant/diligent about the strength training aspects of this process. I usually manage to do two of the three (core/lower body/upper body) but am not as consistent as I would like.
Vis-à-vis this challenge we are again Not Eating after Eight unless planned/under 200 cal. DOABLE. Also we are Improving our Quality of Life. For that element I am planning on tracking multiple things in order qualify for the points: 1)Take my new Care/Of Vitamins daily 2)Take Melatonin & Magnesium in the Evening for better sleep 3)Spend time being creative daily 4)Be consistent with my tracking 5)Plan our Dinners in advance (as much as possible). Also DOABLE.
