First Camping Trip & Awesome Sleep!
Friday, April 30, 2021
Camping is going well. We are relaxing in the mountains 80 minutes from home. The camp site we chose is quite level so it was quick and easy to set up. We had our choice of sites, and selected the most isolated, in the middle of 15 empty ones. Everything is green and we can hear the babbling brook, and chirping birds. Yesterday after lunch we sat outside and played cards, then walked the dogs over to the dog park for play time. Last night I slept through the night, a full 9 hours, the first time in years no wake ups.
On our way here we passed tulip fields. To stay safe, we will not be going to see them up close, and the website states "If you don’t live near Chilliwack, don’t go." Follow the link which shows live feed of the fields. Not sure, but maybe if you see this at night it is shows the late afternoon status.
We brought food we had prepared in advance, so the meals are quicker to prepare and clean up. Last night for dinner pork loin, breakfast pancakes, dinner tonight will be chili and rice.
The dogs are enjoying all the walks. Tomorrow we will be down by the lake and maybe take along a picnic.
