My transition from walking to jogging/running

Wednesday, May 05, 2021

I thought graduating from walking to jogging would be super easy because I have been walking forever. Also, I started jogging in the spot at home for 15 minutes nonestop and it was a breeze. However, my challenge was in the atmosphere, I tried jogging and in a few minutes I had to stop and continue walking. Maybe it was too hot. Anyway, I will not give up but continue trying emoticon

Run/walk - 30secs/30sec or lampole to lampole. Then u can increase the intervals. Longer run less walk. Also sometime you start too fast. But you can do. Just keep going.

    Keep at it.

I used to run in my 20s, then gave up in my 40s to do brisk walking and gym work and now in my 60s, I am running again...of course slower than I did in my younger days.

Do a walk/jog ie walking for 2 minutes and jogging for 2 minutes and then over time decrease the walking duration and increase the jogging duration and slowly but surely, the running will stay with you. Firmly!!

    Good Luck... emoticon
