Ok, so I took a detour. I actually hit my weight goal in early April and ran almost 6 miles straight just before Easter. GREAT.
Then we thought my daughter had covid. She was the first to get sick. She luckily did not have covid, but what has happened since has been a solid month of sickness, mostly due to my husband's new job as a para in a pre-K center. He gets all the little kid germs and passes them on. I'm still on antibiotics for an ear infection, and finished a steriod pack yesterday. In the middle of everything, we've had both of our birthdays and Mother's Day so it's definitely been a slack period. I've been working this week to get back on track.
My weight is up as I would expect, but not terribly so. I know I can get it back down. I was more worried about losing my running progress. I went out last night for the first time in a month. I really surprised myself by running the first mile straight and finishing the whole run in my usual time. So nothing lost. As long as I stay healthy, I can jump back in. BUT my husband is already on to his next sickness and I still haven't finished my antibiotics from the last one! Think good thoughts for us! :)
I'm making no weight goals currently. I just want to get healthy and consistent for June. So that's what I'm working on. Also have a thing going with my friends to work on eating less sugar. Did good Monday and yesterday - bombed on Tuesday. If I can stay healthy and running, good eating habits tend to follow. Let's see!
