End of the day

Thursday, June 10, 2021

I made an effort to get out of my slump. The best thing I did today was spend some time in the pool around dusk. The water was warm as I like it, the breeze had died down, and the darkening sky was clear. The mockingbird family in the crepe myrtle must have gone to bed; I didn’t hear the babies, and the parents weren’t keeping an eye on me. I saw a few bats out bug hunting and some ibis heading for wherever they roost.

Glad to here you are using that pool, hadn't heard you mention it since last fall/winter. You deserve to be a down with Miss Moppet demise and SP shutting down, is a double whammy. Just take care and let yourself mourn. I just might look into the site that NANCYPAULINE mention. I have heard other mention it. But we can always message each other thru FB.

I know some of that sadness must be from the loss of Miss Moppet. Good for you for being intentional in your effort to get out of your slump, and for noticing the beautiful things around you. There's a lot of change happening at one time, and it takes awhile to process. But you'll get there!

I don't know if you're interested, but I joined My Fitness Pal, and Kaliswalker and a few others have as well. my username is nbruns83 and we an add each other as friends. I haven't tried the food tracker, but it looks like it might be comparable.

When the grief eases a bit, you'll be more likely to feel like investigating and participating in fitness and nutrition sites. At least we can do the 5% challenge before Spark closes. emoticon
