It's the "Why" that keeps me going with my healthy lifestyle program. I want to be able to run and play with my grandkids. I want to have the strength to climb up mountains with them and swim in lakes. I don't want to sit on the sidelines of life and watch as others have fun.

I want to use my body and my brain for as long as I can. I eat a healthy diet and stay active both mentally and physically in order to keep my Type 2 Diabetes under control. I drink my 8 glasses of water and I check my glucose levels every day. It is the little things that add up to a strong body and mind. The more steps that I take in the right direction, the better I feel.
My grandkids are moving closer to me in July. I'll be ready for them! They are my "why".
