As of today, I've lost 16 pounds, and 2 inches off my waist. I'm absolutely ecstatic. I'm going to take my 2nd month, "let it all hang out" photo today and then make a private blog for it.
I'm going grocery shopping today and I'm off work for the next 2 days, so I'll do all my cooking and freeze portion sizes.
One strategy that seems to be more effective for me is having carbs at only one meal a day. If I have toast or cereal & fruit for breakfast, I don't have carbs (or very little) the rest of the day. Just my beloved vegetables and lean protein. That's what I did this week and lost 3.5 whereas, last week I did not lose any weight but my calorie range was about the same. I want to avoid plateaus as much as possible, and changing your diet and exercise routines is the way to do that, so I'll make adjustments from week to week and see what works best.
I've ordered a new exercise device today. I guess it's the lazy persons exercise bike. You sit in a chair and pedal - I can do that at work or while watching TV, or even while I'm on the computer. We'll see how it goes.
