Random weekend thoughts

I want to get better about writing but find that I just don't do it unless I have had an aha moment - things going really well or things going really bad. I decided I could write when I am just content so I might as well get started.

This weekend I've been lucky to spend time with friends, doing what I love to do (working on quilts), I've had quality time with DH and have started and made progress on a project that has been nagging me and that I was stalled on (long arm quilting my friend's top).

I'm taking a break from the quilting and have to reflect that I love Spark People. The people I've cyber-met here and the information on this site have really given me confidence that I can get to a healthy weight eventually and then maintain it. I am so glad that there are others here that really understand my experiences. I hope I can help as much as I've been helped!

You have a long arm? Envy! I did a little quilting this weekend, too.

I really hope you blog more. I enjoy reading your posts.

Oh I look forward to my blogging every night (as you can tell by my sometimes mid-day stealth blogging. I am also trying to make it a habit, so every day for 21 days it is. Kinda like the water and exercise. Thanks for all your nice comments on my blogs/page. It does my heart good to cyber-meet someone with the same goals and frustrations as me. Well met and I look forward to keeping in touch. Good luck!

I am glad you will be writing more! I look forward to reading your entries. When I surround myself with motivated people, such as yourself, I get empowered. We are all helping each other here! I love this community too and find myself coming here whenever I need a little boost. Enjoy your fabulous weekend and thanks for writing.

sounds like a lovely weekend all & all :) and it sounds like you are doing well and moving forward. i'm also thrilled that we can meet people over the net who understand the struggles. i didn't expect to crash this week, but friends helped me back on my feet where before i might have stayed derailed. give a shoutout, please, whenever you have a bad day.... even if we just talk quilts, that w/b ok with me ;) my modern crap machine went kaput a few mos back... dh just drug home one of the old die hard singer machines.... i can't wait until mumsie gets back from the beach (most of summer/fall) and we can start quilting again... i miss the time spent doing that with her...
