Small Consistent Steps

I just read an article on the value of taking small consistent steps to reach a goal. It says that the SparkPeople program is:
"More than anything else, it emphasizes the idea of creating (or breaking) new habits through small actions over time. " The article follows by suggesting a streak of small steps.

My personal way of being is to start a project and go at it to the max. I want to do whatever I'm attempting perfectly and completely for results seen yesterday. The concept of small consistent steps is a key lesson for me. It is possibly a good thing that my cardio exercise is so limited right now. It is helping me learn the lesson of small and consistent.

I am going to start a streak this week. This week I am going to have at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day and at least 8 glasses of water (aiming for 9-10). So far:

Sunday 6 f/v and 9 water
Monday 5 f/v and 9 water

There I am "streaking in public" like the article suggests and I plan to do so through Saturday.
