Hi Sue, welcome! That roll around the tummy is one of our foremost problems on this team. We all know it will be corrected mainly through diet and cardio, but its still there. LOL Good luck to you.

Hi, I'm Sue, and I'm just like Karla in that I've been trying to lose the same 10 or 20 pounds for many years now. Believe it or not, I have pants hanging in my closet that have been waiting for a decade for me to fit back into them. They are totally out of style now! I'm hopeful that with Sparkpeople, I will finally lose the roll around my tummy!

Hi Karla, taking small steps is a good idea. I get overwhelmed at times and it helps me to go a day at a time and cross each hill/mountain when I get to it.

Hi Karla, Welcome to Spark and to the team. Setting small goals is the best way to lose it. Start by setting a goal of 1 to 2 pounds per week, then work on that. to lose one pound you need to cut 3500 calories. Either by cutting what you eat or by exercising. Try losing 500 calories a day. If I can help let me know. Using the fitness and nutrition trackers can be a big help.
