No keto for me - I eat a carb-heavy almost vegetarian diet, but I think everybody has their own things that make them feel good. I definitely value your functional fitness style - I LOVE being able to move heavy things when I need to. Muscle is expensive (metabolically, I mean) so it makes sense that the body would stop investing there when it's fighting cancer. I'm glad you beat it and can build your muscle again - I look forward to hearing about your journey.

Good Morning, I found this team after getting some encouraging support from MIAMIRN


My goal for April is to bring in deeper stretching, LOL more mindful

LOL I believe in visualizing, could also use vision board. Here is a funny for you ladies.. I know I am still giggling over it.

originally, I was going to start weight training, to build muscles.. My muscle took a hard hit on cancer.. I swear cancer eats muscle.. I know there is study on how glucose/sugar feeds cancer.
my muscle became small/ weak.. I think it was one of the most difficult parts of cancer journey.
I have always been blessed to be STRONG, along with the knowing I could move/ lift / move pretty heavy things as needed.
when the cancer was in my body.. a gallon was hard, I had to use two hands.. it was shocking.
okay got side tract from funny

So I have been watching short youtube video of women who body build, to see the definition of muscles .. The ladies that compete, spend 25% of the time posing and flexing their muscle because while competing they need to stand an flex for long periods of time.

the big body builders have some crazy definition.. zero desire to reach there level, but it is cool to see.. SOOOOOOOO
I watched a video, went to my mirror, I wanted to see my back/ shoulders / ribs
I got in position, turned my head to see, lifted arms and flexed LMAO
yea not only was there no definition, the muscle spasm about dropped me, it hurt and I found it hilarious.. not that it hurt but my goals were a tad high..
I think I will start with warm up and great flex /stretchering before I add in weights

I also need to stop the thinking process of I have no muscle or their disappearing. I think the reality is I am not use to seeing my body with out all the fluff . My legs are looking tiny compared to what they had been all my life, which I use to think was strength, nope it was fat.

I am eating Keto style, My body is loving it, my brain, body and energy is great!
