Hi! My name is Pat, also known as Ghost at SP. I've been with SP for a few years and I am currently working on completing my food tracker on a daily basis. I am not real good at it yet and I think I know what my problems are with it, but I'm working on getting past them.

I have used the tracker for a meal planning tool, occasionally, and like that concept alot. It just seems that it was easier for me to get it all on the food tracker and then follow it.

At any rate, I am hoping to find some tips (and tricks) to help me get into getting the meal tracker completed every day instead of mostly breakfast and lunch.

Hi my name is Fran and I am heading into week four and just started stage 2 want to learn how to cook healthy and feel like I am not eating differently than everyone else and feel I am dieting but learning to eat healthy well balanced meals try new recipes and hope to get hints on cooking for one. want to loss some weight for a family members wedding in June. week one started with me doing the kitchen clean up and what a surprise the missing parts to my food processor found in back of a cupboard !! emoticon meals planned for dinner all week and tomorrow will do the other two and start the master shopping list. looking forward to this challenge have a good week everyone

Hello. My name is sue. Hoping this sparkteam will give me the kickstart I need! Aiming to make a new SB Phase I friendly recipe for every meal. Okay, there will be 1 exception this month_Feb 19; Good friend Donna coming back from 2 week vacation and I have invited her to dinner to try new Cooking light recipe: Stuffed manicotti ... and we will probably have a glass of wine or two… but I digress! I really want to do this for the month of Feb. Have tried 2 new recipes and remade an old one so far!

I am motivated! I think my major issue will be time management. But if I have learned to like the treadmill then maybe I can learn to find the time to cook!

Hi my name is Colleen. I am a mother of 3 children. My almost 23 year old graduated from college and is back home fortunately working. I have twin 16 year olds who are very busy in sports. I like to plan meals on Sat. and shop on Sunday. I don;t actually set days that we will eat a certain meal but I plan for 5 days of meals and make sure I have the ingredients. I decide in the morning what I feel like making that day. It just makes life so much easier to have a plan and all the ingredients. Hello! I like to cook and like to have a plan. I hope to get better at having a weekly plan in which I remember all the busy days so can plan easy things to cook or use my slow cooker on those days. Hi everyone! I'm 27, recently married and just learning how to cook healthy and balanced and so far, I feel like I'm failing miserably! The reason I think I need help in this area, and what I'm hoping to learn from this challenge, is that I cannot seem to keep my tummy from talking to me between meals and snacks. I'm sure this is because I'm not necessarily eating the right things, which is what I need help with. I'm having difficulties trying to balance everything out so that I'm within my ranges of everything and not hungry in between. I'm hoping to find my answers this month and get things rollin in the kitchen! :D

hey everyone. my name is kristin, and i am hoping that using spark people will help me get my health on track. i am young (22 yrs old). I have no children. I was using spark people back in november but i feel off track due to holidays and having busy times at work. my goal is get back down to my hs weight which was 160 and i have about 90 lbs to loose :) :) :) i joined this board because i am living on my own and i am working on making sure i always cook healthier, and choose healthier meals.

Hi all! I'm Dorothy. Mother of 2.
I'm hoping this challenge will bring back my old habits. I typically eat clean and I use to work out 5 days a week. I need to get back on track. It's been an uphill battle for a few months at home but things are looking good:)
I use to love cooking and playing with recipes. I'm sure it will come back fairly quickly

Hi, I'm Cindy. This is my 3rd day on sparkpeople. It has been very interesting tracking my food! What an eye opener.

I have never been much of a cook, and always relied pretty heavily on packaged and prepared foods. One feature of sparkrecipes I love is being able to search, add to, and build your own recipe collection. I've been doing that this week in preparation for my first "healthy" trip to the grocery store this weekend.

I am determined to cook at least a few healthy meals for my family next week. I know it is really essential that we all eat the same food if I am going to make this a lifestyle change. And it sure won't hurt any of us to eat healthier.

I hope this challenge also includes cooking lessons. I could use them. For instance, I have no idea how to process a clove of garlic. Help!

Hi I'm Traci, an American who lives in Southern Italy. I joined this particular challenge because, although I love to cook, I am not organized enough and often find myself wondering at the last minute what we should have (and therefore overeating!) I have planned all this week's meals for the first time ever! And so far have stuck to them, except one unexpected event. good luck to everyone!

Goal 1: get and stay under 80 kgs, through good eating and exercise. ACCOMPLISHED!

Goal 2: get and stay under 80 kgs (fully clothed). ACCOMPLISHED!

Hello,
My name is Barbara, and I am a young mom who is trying to get healthy and bring up my family in a healthy manor. I want to instill healthy practices in my child as she grows up, and the only way I can do that is to be healthy first. I am the primary cook in my household (my husband claims to be allergic), so really it is up to me to make sure that everyone is eating healthy.
My biggest motivation right now is that I recently went to the doctors, and was told that I have high blood pressure. My doctor gave me the chance to try to lose weight and work it off without medication, to see if it will make a difference.
Very excited to see what this team is all about, and what a difference we can all have on each other! :)

I joined this challenge because i'm trying to eat cleaner, healthier so I feel better. I'm actually a good cook, but living in NYC I have 2 major problems. It's easier to order in, and my kitchen is super small.

Since my DH and I are getting ready to move cross country with our DD, he suggested I cook more, so i'll be more used to it when we move!

Hi, I just joined this challenge. I have been cooking pretty much healthy for about 2 years, but need more ideas and new recipes. Also, I need some help with variety - my husband and daughter (15) love most of my cooking, but I know they get tired of the same flavors! I love to use my crock-pot and tend to make a lot of mexican type dishes. Also, my daughter and I do not eat pork or beef, and at least 4 days a week I cook completely vegetarian because she prefers it!
My daughter and I are in pretty good shape, but my husband needs to lose weight, and the doctor informed him that he MUST change his eating habits to prevent diabetes and/or other health problems. We both just turned 50.. he eats what he wants when I am not the one cooking his food (he travels a lot), and he obviously does not listen to me about calories/fat/sugar, etc. I guess it goes in one ear and out the other. sigh..
